The beginning of the new millennium brought new challenges both before and after the tragedy of September 11. When the calendar flipped over to the year 2000, Mask-Off made it a priority to enter the new era with a new vision. This vision included the purchase of a new coating line. This new coating line, manufactured by Litzler and CEI Gerbco collectively, would allow us to expand our existing product line in order to compete in the ever-changing world of pressure sensitive and masking materials.



Protex products have widely been used and in many cases required in the aerospace and aircraft industry. Our goal in the coming months and years is to develop new products that will not only allow us to compete with products that are already on the market, but also innovate products that have not been developed.

Currently, research and development is in the process of developing methods of coating new materials such as teflon, nylon, polyethylene and polypropylene with new solvent and water-based adhesives.

In our 50 year history, some of the new products that have been developed have come from the minds and requirements of our customers. Our hope is that in the coming months, customers old and new will share with us their needs and requirements, so that we may assist with an existing product, or begin development of a product that will meet their requirements.
